Rats, rats, rats, rats, rats.

I hate it when I do that. I hatehatehate it.

Yep--I forgot my username and password again.

Sure, I know people forget their passwords all the time. But my username?! Which happens to be my actual name?!?!

Yeah...definitely feeling blonde, tonight.

Back Again...

Je suis retourné. No, I can't spell in French. Can you spell in French? Well, lucky you, then. Come to think of it, I can't pronounce it, either. I can understand it...just not communicate in it. Heh. Oh, well. Something to work on for the future!

But yes, I am back. In spite of the fact that I don't think anyone ever actually reads this logue...feel free to comment if you'd like to prove me wrong! :-P

How Embarrassing...

It's been so long since I posted that I had forgotten my username, my password, and even the email address I used to sign up for my account! :blushes: However, a little trial and error gave me the right email address (not being one of these people who has twenty or thirty to worry about...) and after that it was a simple matter of waiting for the email and following the instructions.

Support a Starving Author...

My short story, Russka's Last Painting, is up at iFiction. You can read the first 45% of it for free; if you want to read the rest (I know most of the people reading this have probably already read it), or if you simply want to support a (not quite) starving artist, you'll need to pay $0.99 via PayPal or a major credit card.

Russka's Last Painting was first printed in The Sword Review, and I'm thrilled to finally be able to make it available again through iFiction. I hope you'll check it out, and consider supporting it if you're able!

27 Contest Subs!!

It's absolutely unreal how well the contest has been recieved! Now we have to somehow read all these subs, before the end of May. (Preferably by mid-May, Selena says!)

Naturally, all the Inkies subs were squeezed in just under the wire on the last day. :grins: Don't worry--we still love you guys! (Hey, I'm just so glad you went ahead and entered, I'd be perfectly happy if the subs had come in at 11:59. :-D)

Starting next week, check DKA early and often for announcements on the contest! (Although, more realistically, it will probably be more like the week after that.)

Wheeeeeeeeeeee!!

WOOT!! I've finished my rough draft of "Evening Star, Morning Star"!!!!! I'm so excited!!! I know I'm usually excited when I finish a story, but this is the first story I've finished in...uh... :mumblemumble: months. It's 3307 words; not a novella or anything, but not as short as I was afraid it was going to be. In fact, lengthwise, I'm rather pleased with it. Now, to see if my Critters/readers like the pacing or not. Hehehe!! Oh, I know the story still needs some editing work done, lots of it, and some polishing and examining and repolishing and all that good stuff. But the rough draft is finished, the rough draft is FINISHED!! :bounces happily:
